David Kreizer is Partner and Chair of SK Law’s Personal Injury and Litigation groups. In an era where attorneys back away from trying cases, David consistently wins large verdicts and settlements in the state and federal courts of both New Jersey and New York.
Making national news, David, along with co-counsel, secured a $41 million dollar landmark settlement in a civil rights claim against the City of New York. The sensational case became known as the “Central Park Five,” which polarized New York City along racial lines. David’s client, Korey Wise, was wrongfully convicted, along with four others, of raping and attempting to murder a 28-year old Wall Street investment banker jogging through Central Park. Mr. Wise, who was 16 years old at the time of the charge, served over 13 years in a maximum-security prison before being exonerated. The agreement between the City and all five men averaged about $1 million per year of incarceration, resulting in a $12.25 million recovery for David’s client.
David has held an AV Peer Review Rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell – which places him at the highest level of professional excellence. Thomson Reuters has included him on its Super Lawyers – New York Metro “Rising Stars” list. With so many career achievements under 40, it’s no surprise he has quickly built a reputation as the complete lawyer.
Clients often turn to David for his experience with wrongful death, car accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, workplace injuries, assaults and defective products. David’s practice also includes civil rights encompassing all types of police misconduct and a wide variety of discrimination claims from sexual harassment to whistleblowing and race discrimination in the workplace.
